Well Lorraine, I think that for the most part Gardner is talking about how we can identify "Truth" in the 21st century. If you look back at each century throughout time "Truth" was identified with the tools and the wisdom available to man. Now that we have more tools to use in telling the truth or not telling the truth we have to find many ways and some new ways to identify truth.

I read Gardner's First Chapter and I found it alittle hard to follow. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Do you think Gardner could have written this book in a more user friendly way? The later chapters are a little easier to follow.
